1998 Peugeot 306 XSi 2.0 XSi
I bought this car last year as an affordable way to have a go at autosolos. It is completely standard and generally in very good condition. Only two minor advisories - a split wiper blade and a deteriorated suspension bush - on the last MOT in December and it has only covered a handful of miles since then. Total mileage is circa 70,000 miles.
Drives pretty much perfectly, body/chassis in very good nick (no significant rust), new exhaust for the last MOT. Only real issues are that the glass in the passenger door sometimes drops and a previous owner has done a very nasty DIY repair on the sunroof seal, which means it whistles at speed.
I bought the car off a mate who'd run it for about 30,000 miles. He paid a lot of money for it originally - enough to buy a half-decent GTi-6 - and had it regularly MOTd and serviced. I used it for a handful of autosolos and one track day but it's otherwise led a fairly pampered life (garaged ever since I've known it). Plenty of bills and more or less a full service history. I've spent upwards of £550 on maintenance in the 12 months I've had the car (including a new cambelt, water pump etc. professionally done as soon as I got it). Would gladly keep this car, but I have something rear-wheel drive coming to replace it.
