2001 BMW 525D
2001 BMW 525D Auto Touring ( E39 ) spares/repairs - This car is too good to scrap I just know I wont get round to repairing it.
120k if my memory serves me correctly, I can confirm this. Ill start you from the beginning. I bought the car with a broken turbo to repair and use as a daily. I bought a new turbo (not cheap ebay shite) and fitted it. The car started and drove fine after this but about a week later suddenly stopped and cut out. It keeps blowing a fuse in the engine wiring loom. Its a main 50 amp fuse and as soon as you turn on the ignition it goes. I think there is a wire trapped somewhere which is causing a short but I just don't have time to take it all apart and start again.
It drove brilliantly; smooth and powerful, gearbox changed perfectly with no notchy feeling or anything like that. Bodywork is as you'd expect for the age and mileage, there is a rusty patch about the size of a 50p coin on the nearside rear quarter.
It has loads of features steering wheel controls, front AND rear sensors and literally loads more. The leather is beige, the dash is beige, the carpets are beige and the steering wheel is black. I love a light interior.
No Mot but as I am sure you guys can check it has done very few since the last one. Located between Poole and Dorchester on the south coast.
